Imagine it.

Film is very attractive and accessible for almost all children. Children not only enjoy moving image and easily engage with narrative films and documentaries, but also actively respond to abstract and experimental films. These films give room for imagination. How and what can we teach children in a very early age about film since the early years are the most formative?

Build it.

We developed the Cinemini Europe Kit for film educators who also wants to guide the children into the world of cinema. With this kit you can build your own program in which children can discover the world of moving image in a meaningful and fun way.

Grow it.

With the Cinemini Europe films and activities we stimulate the development of creativity and critical thinking and spark a love for film. With simple and playful activities like watching, talking, drawing, dancing, acting or imagining, children work on film literacy skills and their general development. They practice fine motor skills, speaking and listening… as well as social and emotional skills.

Film catalogue

The Cinemini films (not specifically made for children) represent a variety of (European) heritage and art films, in a variety of genres and forms, e.g. animation and abstract films, (non)fiction films, black and white and hand coloured films.

Films in the Cinemini Europe catalogue are carefully selected for children. Our goal is to let children discover the cultural richness of film in all its varied forms. At age 3 to 6 children are most receptive for imaginative, abstract and creative expression.
