Cinemini Europe Playgrounds
Exploring film through 4 installations by Taartrovers
Taartrovers has designed a set of four playful installations dedicated to Cinemini Europe. Each of the installation explores a particular characteristic of film. The installations can be used separately but are connected by means of design and content. Together this set forms a fantastic film play ‘family’.
The installations invite young children to explore, create and play with their imagination and by that to discover the magic of film. Keeping in mind that their creations are not the purpose of the creative process, but a playful way to experience film.
After a short introduction, children can play independently with the installations under surveillance. Film pedagogues, parents or teachers should stay in the background, available to support or inspire the children when needed.
Playing with the installation is part of the activity and should be combined with a screening of one or more films of the Cinemini Europe film catalogue.
Cinemini Playground for you?
There are two options if you want to incorporate these installations in your own film education program:
1. Take inspiration from the Cinemini Europe installations already made and create your own. If you have questions or if you’d like to share your own Cinemini Europe Playground, please contact Taartrovers.
2. Bring in one or more installations for a certain period of time. This includes a training for your team.
